Job Description

Georgia United Credit Union regularly evaluates market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to offer the best, competitive compensation package for our positions. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, internal alignment and other job-related factors. Starting salary $26.25 per hour depending on experience and qualification.

  • Serves internal and external members and the consumer lending team to ensure loans are reviewed accurately and timely while always providing the best possible experience.
  • Makes recommendations to system upgrades, policies, standards, or procedures to improve the processes, ensure the safest and soundest decisioning practices, and provide world class experiences.
  • Reviews and renders decisions on consumer applications in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes credit report data along with any other metrics deemed important when making a consumer loan decision.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment ensuring proper credit decisions to protect the Credit Union and contribute to loan growth.
  • Identifies fraudulent applications.
  • Provides detailed feedback for conditional and denial situations.
  • Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets control.
  • Maintains and updates knowledge of underwriting requirements and policies and new loan types.
  • Provides friendly, professional and accurate financial services support to members and to the consumer lending team.
  • Projects and maintains the Credit Union’s professional image and reputation.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company’s vision statement, core values and business principles.
