The company is an established renewable energy platform that develops and constructs its own projects, giving the team exposure from project development and engineering through construction and commercial operation. What you'll do:Support solar and battery energy storage projects from development through construction and commercial operationReview engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and design packagesCoordinate with internal engineering, development, project management, and construction teamsManage and coordinate with third-party engineering firms and other external partnersReview designs for compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and project requirementsSupport project schedules, technical deliverables, permitting, procurement, and construction activitiesServe as a technical and project point of contact throughout project executionIdentify and help resolve engineering and construction issues as projects progressManage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-growing renewable energy environmentGain broad exposure across solar, BESS, engineering, project management, and construction
What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or universityElectrical or Civil Engineering background preferred, although other relevant engineering disciplines will be consideredApproximately 3–5 years of engineering experienceExperience in renewable energy, ideally solar and/or battery energy storageCombination of technical engineering and project management experience xzbcwsv Experience reviewing engineering drawings and design packagesUnderstanding of applicable engineering codes, standards, specifications, and industry practicesExperience coordinating with third-party engineering firms, contractors, or external project partnersStrong project coordination, communication, and organizational skillsComfortable managing multiple projects and competing prioritiesComfortable working in a smaller, fast-moving organization where team members have significant autonomy and wear multiple hatsChicago-based and comfortable working a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office and remote Fridays
