<p><b>Core Responsibilities </b> </p><p><b>1. Financial Management &amp; Controls </b> </p><ul><li>Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IndAS / IFRS / Local GAAP). </li><li>Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital cycles, and manage fund allocation across various engineering projects. </li><li>Implement and strengthen rigorous internal financial controls (IFC) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). </li> </ul><p><b>2. Taxation &amp; Statutory Compliance </b> </p><ul><li>Ensure 100% accurate and timely compliance with all direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Income Tax, Customs, etc.). </li><li>Lead and manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments smoothly. </li><li>Keep abreast of changing fiscal laws, assessing their impact on the engineering business. </li> </ul><p><b>3. Project &amp; Cost Control </b> </p><ul><li>Partner with project heads to review Project Costing, Variance Analysis, and Budget vs. Actual reports. </li><li>Review contract terms, commercial bids, and vendor agreements to mitigate financial risks. </li><li>Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset management, and depreciation accounting specific to plant and machinery. </li> </ul><p><b>4. Team Leadership &amp; CFO Support </b> </p><ul><li>Mentor, guide, and evaluate the 3-member finance team to ensure high accuracy in day-to-day accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, invoicing). </li><li>Assist the CFO in preparing Board presentations, annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. </li> </ul><p><b>Candidate Profile </b> </p><p><b>Education &amp; Experience </b> </p><ul><li><b>Qualifications: </b> Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / CMA / MBA in Finance. </li><li><b>Experience: </b> <b> 15+ years </b> of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role </li> </ul><p><b>Technical &amp; Soft Skills </b> </p><ul><li><b>Industry Knowledge: </b> In-depth understanding of project accounting, percentage-of-completion methods, and job costing. </li><li><b>Systems: </b> Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime) and MS Excel. </li><li><b>Leadership: </b> Proven track record of managing and upskilling small teams. </li> </ul><p><br /></p>
