Duration: 12 Month Contract, opportunity for extension

Pay Rate: up to $40 / hr

Shift: Core business hours onsite

Required Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Experience in the signage industry, signage documentation and production maintenance support.
• Operational process management, project management, and contract administration.

Description:

The Signage Maintenance Technician II serves as the primary resource for signage maintenance, fabrication, and installation across transit facilities and stations, reporting to the Manager of Signage Maintenance. The role supports customer wayfinding by managing signage updates related to service changes, facility projects, and ongoing maintenance needs. Key responsibilities include project coordination, signage content creation and troubleshooting, schedule and budget management, site surveys, documentation tracking, database maintenance, and ensuring signage accuracy across projects. The position also works closely with project teams and architectural drawings to verify signage design and content, while overseeing small contracts and vendor work. Technicians use specialized tools, equipment, and vehicles, and regularly travel to transit facilities. The role requires safety and security training and supports both planned and unexpected service disruptions. After-hours and on-call work may be required to respond to urgent signage repairs and operational needs.
