Hiring: Network Engineer – DOCSIS & DAA
Location: Englewood, CO (Denver area)
Job Type: Contract
Experience: 4+ years in Network Engineering
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in DOCSIS, CMTS technologies, and Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) to support network engineering initiatives at Charter Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support high-split and mid-split technologies.
- Troubleshoot issues across lab and operational networks.
- Perform lab regression testing and validate new features and enhancements.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve bugs and technical defects.
- Develop technical documentation, including network design diagrams, implementation guides, and field bulletins.
- Configure and support network infrastructure, including routing and switching.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on DOCSIS experience.
- Strong CMTS experience, including iCMTS and/or vCMTS.
- Routing and switching expertise.
- Experience with lab regression testing and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) experience.
- RF engineering knowledge and CMTS configuration experience.
- Cloud infrastructure experience.
- Data center installation experience.
