Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead interior design projects from concept to completion, managing client interactions, design development, and coordination with project teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design presentations, developing detailed space plans, specifying materials and finishes, and overseeing FF&E selection and layouts. The role involves reviewing construction drawings, collaborating with architects and contractors, conducting site visits, monitoring work quality, and ensuring designs are executed as intended. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior designers, support project scheduling, and contribute to design standards and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular presence at the office and project locations. Qualifications Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, high-quality layouts. Knowledge of Architecture principles and experience collaborating with architectural and engineering teams. Proficiency in developing and reviewing Construction Drawings and technical documentation. Expertise in FF&E selection, specification, and coordination for residential or commercial projects. Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Several years of experience in interior design, including leading projects and coordinating with clients and contractors. Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools). Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a team and guide junior staff. Attention to detail, knowledge of local building codes and materials, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
