Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual SMSF financial statements, member statements, and fund income tax returns in accordance with Australian legislative requirements
• Process and reconcile all investment transactions, including equities, managed funds, property, and term deposits within BGL Simple Fund 360 (BGL360)
• Manage the full SMSF compliance cycle, including the preparation and lodgement of annual returns with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
• Ensure all funds comply with the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (SIS Act) and related regulations
• Calculate and document member contributions, rollovers, pension entitlements, and transfer balance cap positions
• Prepare trustee minutes, resolutions, and supporting documentation for fund events and year-end processes
• Liaise with external SMSF auditors, providing all required documentation and responding to audit queries promptly
• Manage data feeds and manual data entry for investment platforms and bank accounts through to trial balance stage
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for reconciliation, data analysis, and reporting purposes
• Follow all workflow instructions, internal procedures, and client-specific guidelines as directed by management and senior staff without deviation
• Identify and escalate potential compliance issues or legislative breaches to senior staff proactively
• Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic fund files and work papers
• Support junior staff members with technical guidance where required
