Job Description
The Manager of Clinical Services role ensures effective delivery of clinical services for youth with integrity and compliance; adherence to AMIkids requirements and Local, State and Federal regulatory requirements governing clinical services; provide comprehensive oversight of mental health and substance abuse clinical services.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide oversight to Clinical Supervisors and Directors of Treatment roles,
- Provide oversight to Clinical Team Members operating outside of Behavioral Health Inc. within AMIkids Programs,
- Oversight and review of clinical documentation, including but not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment and aftercare planning, and individual/group/family therapy services to ensure delivery of appropriate youth services achieving favorable therapeutic outcomes,
- Maintain or provide coverage for a clinical caseload,
- Collaborate with Manager of Clinical Quality in monitoring Program efficacy and training needs, and deliver and/or develop various structured and informal trainings for professional development and effectiveness,
- Assess and monitor clinical services through daily oversight and chart audits, address concerns real time while monitoring performance, outcomes, and effectiveness through use of data and feedback,
- Effectively implement AMIkids Way (Kids First, Safety, and Family) and key elements of Positive Youth Development (Relationships, Meaningful Participation, Community Involvement, and Challenged & Engaged Programming) and the AMIkids Personal Growth Model (PGM) in all interactions with youth,
- Integrate and oversee the AMIkids Personal Growth Model (PGM) along with the Behavioral Health initiatives,
- Align Behavioral Health Services with AMIkids mission, values and strategic priorities, and ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services at Programs,
- Conduct administrative review and audit treatment services, oversee timely accomplishment of appropriate documentation, date entry, and submission requirements,
- Respond to internal/external audits and regulatory reviews timely,
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, research and review of Mental
- Health, Substance Abuse, Community Mental Health Service manuals, journals, and publications,
- Enforce policies and procedures (may create); plan organize and direct established Program goals and
- objectives aligned with regulatory, accreditation, managed care, and contract requirements,
- Provide timely information to enable the Board to function effectively and make informed decisions,
- Build/maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties,
- Manage financials within budget, review, identify trends and discrepancies and take appropriate action,
- Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization,
- May drive for other work-related tasks,
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling related field,
- Licensed Mental Health Professional – licensed under Chapter 458 or 459, F.S. in Florida; License eligible for
additional credentialling, - Three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably with youth,
- Two (2) years supervisory experience,
- Possess or obtain and maintain National Provider Identifier and Medicaid provider enrollment,
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written),
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
