Lead Interior Designer - Mumbai

Role Overview: We are looking for a Lead Interior Designer for Mumbai office who can take complete ownership of the design function—from presales conceptualization to project execution support. This role demands strong leadership, sharp design thinking, and the ability to deliver fast, accurate, and commercially viable design solutions aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creative Presales Ownership (Layouts & Presentations):

• Lead design during the presales stage by deeply understanding client requirements.
• Apply design thinking to create innovative, functional, and customized solutions.
• Deliver compelling layouts and presentations that improve conversion and client confidence.

2. Project Design Ownership:

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of GFC and working drawings
• Drive material approvals in line with project timelines.
• Maintain high standards of detailing and execution readiness in all deliverables.

3. Team Leadership & Ownership:

• Lead, mentor, and drive performance of the design and coordination team.
• Ensure each team member achieves a minimum 70% performance benchmark.
• Build a high-output, accountable, and motivated team culture.

4. Cost & Budget Ownership:

• Ensure all design selections are aligned with approved project budgets.
• Minimize cost overruns through value engineering and smart material choices.
• Balance aesthetics, functionality, and commercial feasibility.

5. Fast & On-Time Design Closure:

• Drive closure of design within 15–20 days per project.
• Ensure timely client sign-offs to enable smooth project execution.
• Work closely with Projects Head to align design timelines with execution plans.

6. Client Experience & Satisfaction:

• Act as a key client interface during design and coordination phases.
• Ensure seamless communication and responsiveness.
• Achieve a minimum client satisfaction score of 80%.

7. Procurement Coordination & Order Finalization:

• Finalize all long-lead items and critical materials in advance.
• Ensure accurate BOQs, specifications, and quantifications.
• Coordinate with procurement and maintain weekly lead item tracking.

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

• Design closure within 15–20 days
• Client satisfaction score ≥ 80%
• Team performance ≥ 70% rating
• Zero delays in GFC and working drawings
• Budget adherence and minimal cost overruns
• Timely finalization of all lead items

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Interior Design / Architecture15–20+ years of experience in commercial interior design

Proven track record in leading teams and delivering fast-paced projects
