Job Description
We are partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization that is seeking a fractional Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee its finance and accounting operations and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team. This fractional engagement is expected to require up to 20 hours per week, with an onsite commitment of at least one day per week or one full week per month. The fractional CFO will lead financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, audits, internal controls, grant compliance, procurement, and the development of the Finance team. This individual will also provide financial insights to support organizational planning, growth, and long-term sustainability. Ideal Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Active CPA required 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience 5+ years in a senior leadership or supervisory capacity Strong nonprofit and government grant accounting experience Experience managing audits, Form 990 preparation, GAAP compliance, and financial reporting Hands-on experience with NetSuite Proven ability to build and improve finance operations, processes, and teams This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on financial leader who is passionate about supporting a mission-focused organization.
