Job Description: Production Supervisor

• Company: Narayan Powertech – Standex Electronics
• Location: Luna – Padra, Vadodara, Gujarat
• Department: Production / Manufacturing
• Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Note: This role has to work in shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Supervise daily production operations and ensure achievement of production plans.
• Monitor work progress and machine utilization to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Purchase, and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
• Ensure timely completion of production orders and dispatch commitments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wastage.

Manpower Management

• Allocate work to operators and technicians based on skill and workload.
• Monitor workforce attendance, discipline, and productivity.
• Train and guide production employees on work procedures and safety practices.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

Quality Management

• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality Control team for inspections and corrective actions.
• Reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints through process control.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct shop floor safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Report and investigate production-related incidents and near misses.

Inventory & Resource Control

• Monitor raw material consumption and reduce wastage.
• Coordinate with Stores department for material availability.
• Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare daily production reports and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze production data and suggest corrective actions.
• Participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Full-Time Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in supervising production teams and shop floor operations.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement activities or similar concepts

Required Skills:

• Leadership and team management.
• Production planning and scheduling.
• Problem-solving and decision-making.
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies
