Development Site Advisors® (DSA) is hiring a Senior Director to focus exclusively on development sites, air rights, conversion and redevelopment properties, and development joint venture transactions.
This is a platform built for specialists rather than generalists. Development is not one of the things we do. It is the only thing we do.
At DSA, you are surrounded by architects, zoning experts, valuation professionals, capital markets professionals, owners reps, marketing, and technology, all focused on the same question: What can feasibly be built here, and what is it worth?
You will have the infrastructure, data, people, and analytical resources behind you to spend your time where it matters most: sourcing opportunities, winning assignments, building relationships, structuring transactions, and closing deals.

Analytical horsepower behind every pitch. Our in-house architects and zoning experts produce development analyses, zoning, massing and feasibility studies. Our proprietary Sitestimate®, Landstimate®, and Airstimate® tools, together with our Due Diligence Accelerator Package®, give our brokers and advisors the ability to walk into an owner or developer meeting with confidence.
More ways to monetize a relationship.
Our Debt, Equity & Structured Finance arm arranges construction, predevelopment and land, bridge, mezzanine, preferred equity, and JV equity financing. When you source a development opportunity, there may be an opportunity to participate in the financing side of that same relationship.
Our Development Management Services arm also represents owners through construction, from the idea through the certificate of occupancy, creating another potential revenue opportunity from relationships you originate.
A broker-friendly split. This is a 100% commission-based position. We recognize that experienced producers have earned the right to have a conversation about economics. Compensation can be structured around experience, production, and the business you bring in. We are open to discussing broker-friendly arrangements.
A seat at the table. This is a Senior Director role, not simply a title. You will have direct access to firm leadership, the opportunity to help shape where DSA focuses its efforts, and the ability to develop junior brokers and analysts alongside your own production.
Positioning. Our goal is to build people who are recognized internally and externally as experts in NYC development sites, air rights, conversions, redevelopment, and JV opportunities.
What You Will DoSource, secure, and execute transactions involving development sites, air rights, conversion and redevelopment properties, and JV equity across the five boroughsAdvise owners and developers on pricing, zoning potential, feasibility, JV structuring, and marketing strategyWork with our in-house team to produce the analyses, feasibility studies, presentations, and proposals that win assignmentsBuild and maintain relationships with property owners, developers, investors, and equity partnersIdentify opportunities for additional capital and development-management services within your relationshipsMentor junior brokers and analysts on underwriting, pitching, negotiation, and transaction processRepresent DSA at meetings, property tours, industry events, and other settings as a senior market specialist
