Qualifications:Valid special education teaching license or certification in Connecticut or applicable state endorsementsExperience working with students with autism, behavioral challenges, or sensory needs preferredStrong understanding of behavioral interventions, sensory supports, and adaptive technologiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to students’ needsUtilize specialized strategies and interventions, including ABA or social-emotional learning techniquesCollaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and families to optimize educational outcomesIncorporate sensory supports and adaptive technologies into daily instructionMaintain accurate records of student progress and report on development regularly
