Job Description
We're Hiring: Geography Educator
Location: Vidyashilp Academy, Yelahanka, Bengaluru North (On-site)
Vidyashilp Academy is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Educator to teach students from Grades 6 to 12 on a consultant/contract basis or Full-time.
Freshers with strong academic credentials and a genuine passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
Experience
✔ 0–5 years of teaching experience
✔ Freshers with strong subject knowledge are welcome
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons for Grades 6–12.
Design lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and learning styles.
Develop assignments, worksheets, map-based activities, and assessments.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Assess, record, and report academic progress.
Support students in curriculum learning and competitive exam preparation.
Foster critical thinking, environmental awareness, and global perspectives.
Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and provide academic guidance.
Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
Collaborate with the Lead Educator on academic and administrative responsibilities.
Integrate digital tools, maps, case studies, and current affairs into teaching practices.
Continuously update subject knowledge and teaching methodologies.
Requirements:
✔ Strong academic background in Geography.
✔ Willingness to work from our Bengaluru North campus.
✔ Teaching experience preferred but not mandatory.
✔ Familiarity with ICSE/ISC/IGCSE/IB curricula is an added advantage.
✔ Comfortable using digital teaching and learning tools.
✔ Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
✔ Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate Degree in Geography or a related field (Mandatory)
B. Ed. qualification (Preferred)
Experience in foundation courses or competitive exam preparation is an added advantage
