This role oversees print, paint, CNC, assembly, shipping, receiving, and logistics, with a focus on developing supervisors and improving safety, quality, and delivery. Why join us? Job Details Responsibilities Lead plant operations, setting department priorities, production schedules, staffing plans, and performance expectations. Coach and develop supervisors while building an engaged, accountable team. Maintain a visible daily presence on the floor and strong relationships with employees at every level. Own plant safety and OSHA/environmental compliance through training, audits, hazard reviews, and incident follow-up. Improve quality, on-time delivery, schedule adherence, productivity, labor utilization, and cost. Reduce bottlenecks, scrap, and rework through Lean manufacturing and root-cause problem solving. Partner with Sales, Design, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Finance to execute custom, made-to-order projects. Manage labor, materials, equipment, and manufacturing expenses. Use ERP systems and performance data to guide decisions and maintain clear production procedures and controls. Support hiring, training, and retention across manufacturing departments. Required Qualifications 7+ years of Plant Manager experience and 10+ years in manufacturing. Working knowledge of millwork and custom, made-to-order manufacturing. Experience overseeing multiple production departments or manufacturing functions. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to coach supervisors, connect with employees, and build effective teams. Proven improvements in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and manufacturing costs. Practical experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and OSHA requirements. Strong ERP/MRP experience and advanced Excel skills. Must currently live within a 45-minute commute of Fairfield, OH, and work fully on-site. Preferred Qualifications Experience with retail fixtures, signage, décor, woodworking, print, or metal fabrication. Epicor ERP and Smartsheet experience.
