Temporary Accountant – 3 Months

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant for a 3-month temporary assignment to focus on account reconciliation, clearing opening balances, and resolving outstanding accounting issues .

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile opening balances, customer, vendor, intercompany, and General Ledger accounts .
• Investigate and clear old, outstanding, duplicate, or unexplained balances .
• Review balance sheet accounts including advances, deposits, prepayments, and accruals .
• Identify discrepancies and pass approved adjustment/rectification entries .
• Prepare reconciliation statements and maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Report unreconciled items and issues requiring management action .
• Complete all assigned reconciliation and cleanup work within the 3-month period.
• Prepare a final handover/status report.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce .
• 3–5 years of accounting experience , preferably in reconciliation/accounts cleanup.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations and double-entry accounting .
• Good Excel skills .
• Tally ERP experience preferred .
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle large volumes of accounting data.

Preferred

Immediate availability and previous experience in accounts cleanup/reconciliation projects will be an advantage.
