HEAD OF DESIGN / COORDINATOR– INTERIOR FURNITURE Company: SKV India Department: Design Position: Head of Design / Coordinator– Interior Furniture · 8-10 years in furniture manufacturing/interior fit-outs, with 5 years in senior design leadership Reports To: Production Head Location: GGM-India Working Days: 6 Employment Type: Full-time Industry Preference: Furniture Manufacturing Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, or related field 1. JOB PURPOSE Lead the furniture and interior product design function, combining strong aesthetics with manufacturing expertise to develop innovative, cost-effective, and market-driven solutions. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead and manage the design team. - Develop and execute design strategy aligned with market trends. - Conceptualize and develop modular/custom furniture and interior solutions. - Collaborate with production to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. - Review production drawings, BOMs, and validate prototypes. - Lead design for commercial, residential, and hospitality projects. - Track global trends and drive design innovation. - Recruit, mentor, and develop design talent. - Ensure design quality and resolve manufacturing issues. - Support sales with presentations and client discussions. 4. REQUIRED SKILLS Technical: - Furniture manufacturing processes - Modular furniture systems - Materials knowledge (wood, metal, glass, upholstery) - CNC manufacturing - AutoCAD - SolidWorks/Inventor - SketchUp - 3ds Max - Adobe Creative Suite - Strategic thinking - Team leadership - Stakeholder management - Commercial acumen - Project management Soft: - Communication skills - Interpersonal skills - stakeholder management 5.
