Assistant Brand Manager (Beauty Innovation)

We are looking for a Assistant Brand Manager (Innovation) for a beauty brand in NYC!Pay rate: $38-40/hour based on experienceOnsite 3x/week in NYC6 month contract (covering MAT leave)Responsibilities:Help create and develop the lip innovation pipeline, supported by Senior Director, including packaging, artwork, shade naming, financial stage gate process management, copy and concept writingHelp manage overall global lip portfolio needs; supporting global markets with varying requests and needs related to lip core business portfolioAssist in creative development of launch assets and dotcom / PDP pages. Briefing and managing agencies and working to bring launch concepts to life through product and model photographyHelp manage cross functional partners - interfacing with a wide variety of verticals as point of connection of all parties for innovation. You will interface with cross functional partners including: packaging, R&D, product development, creative agencies, supply chain, global markets, research, finance and legal.Required Qualifications:2-4 years of Beauty industry experience strongly preferred, particularly color cosmetics and innovation.Experience managing end-to-end product innovation and commercialization processes.Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, P&L understanding, and business case development.Strong strategic thinking and ability to analyze market, consumer, and competitive data.Experience working with packaging development and artwork processes.Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.Systems / Tools ProficiencyMicrosoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office SuiteCircana / Nielsen syndicated data platforms (preferred)Project management and workflow management systemsExperience with commercialization and artwork approval systems preferred
