About the OpportunityA well-established manufacturer is seeking an Director of Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team and drive new product development initiatives across a specialized industrial product portfolio.
This is a high-visibility leadership position that will play a critical role in improving engineering execution, developing talent, implementing structure, and helping the organization bring innovative products to market. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance strategy, team development, and technical execution.
What You'll Be DoingLead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical and electrical engineersDrive new product development projects from concept through commercializationEstablish project timelines, milestones, and accountability measuresImprove engineering processes, project execution, and cross-functional collaborationPartner with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership to align prioritiesServe as a technical resource and coach for the engineering teamIdentify opportunities to improve product development speed and effectivenessManage engineering resources, priorities, and workload planningFoster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork
What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsProven engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environmentTrack record of successfully leading new product development initiativesExperience managing engineers and developing high-performing teamsStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to implement structure and process within growing or evolving organizationsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesExperience with SolidWorks or similar CAD platformsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
Preferred QualificationsExperience leading cross-functional engineering teamsBackground in industrial equipment, engineered products, manufacturing, or related industriesExperience improving engineering workflows, product development processes, and team performanceAbility to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement
