About the Role

We are looking for a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Junior FashionDesigner to join our design team at a well-renowned womenswear brand, TheLoom. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fashion, who has a strongeye for color, silhouette, and detail, and is eager to take ownership of collections

from concept to final product under the guidance of the Design Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:-

 Independently manage seasonal collections from ideation to final product.

 Research trends and develop creative concepts, mood boards, and seasonal themes.

 Design womenswear collections with a strong understanding of silhouettes, fit,

and garment construction.

 Develop embroidery concepts and work closely with sampling and production teams to execute designs.

 Create detailed style sheets, technical specifications, and design

documentation.

 Assist in print development and create basic print layouts using Photoshopand/or Procreate.

 Source and select fabrics, trims, and embellishments suitable for each

collection.

 Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including merchandising,production, sampling, and sourcing.

 Participate in fittings and incorporate feedback into design revisions.

 Ensure timely execution of collections while maintaining the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.

 Make informed design decisions and proactively solve creative and execution-related challenges.

Required Skills

 Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design.

 1–3 years of experience in womenswear design (fresh graduates with

exceptional portfolios may also apply).

 Strong understanding of womenswear silhouettes, garment construction, andfit.

 Excellent color sensibility and trend awareness.

 Good knowledge of embroidery techniques and embellishment development.

 Strong understanding of fabrics, textiles, and material selection.

 Ability to create mood boards, illustrations, and collection presentations.

 Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Procreate (mandatory).

 Basic knowledge of print development and surface design.

 Strong illustration and sketching skills.

 Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Candidates from Shades of India and Jaypore can be considered as first preferences.
