Our client is a long-established leader in critical infrastructure construction across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, and data centers are now at the heart of its growth strategy. They’re looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead pricing on hyperscale and colocation projects, where accuracy, speed and constructability win the work.
What you’ll doLead estimating on large-scale data center electrical projects, from hyperscale campuses to phased expansionsBuild detailed estimates for MV distribution, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators and low-voltage systemsUse Trimble Accubid as your primary tool for takeoff, pricing and database managementTake budgets from conceptual through to detailed, aligned with fast-track schedulesCoordinate labor, material, equipment and subcontractor pricing across internal teamsPresent proposals to clients, explaining constructability, sequencing and cost driversManage vendor and subcontractor engagement, including long-lead equipmentMentor estimators on data center means and methods: energized work, phased turnover and critical path sequencingBuild relationships with OEMs, subcontractors and clients across the data center ecosystem
What you’ll bring15+ years of electrical estimating and/or project management in industrial electrical constructionProven experience estimating large-scale data center projects (required)Deep knowledge of MV distribution, UPS and backup generation, switchgear, and redundancy design (N+1, 2N)Experience with phased construction in live, mission-critical environmentsBachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceBluebeam, HCSS, Primavera or MS Project a plusConfidence presenting technical solutions to executive stakeholdersThe ability to juggle multiple large bids at once without losing sight of the detail
