Network Security Engineer

CXC Global is partnering with a leading enterprise organization seeking a Deployment Engineer to support a large-scale network security transformation initiative involving the migration of enterprise firewall infrastructure from Check Point to Fortinet. This is a hands-on opportunity for a network security professional with strong experience in firewall administration, migration projects, and enterprise networking technologies.Location: Cary, NC (Hybrid)Duration: Long-Term ContractStart Date: ImmediateWork Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders only. The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Position Summary The Deployment/Lead Engineer will be responsible for supporting the migration of enterprise firewall environments from Check Point to Fortinet. The role includes firewall deployment, configuration, policy migration, troubleshooting network and security issues, VPN implementation, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure successful migration and operational stability.
Key Qualifications • Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate and FortiManager.• Strong background in Check Point firewall administration and management.• Proven experience supporting firewall migration projects, preferably Check Point to Fortinet.• Solid understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies.• Experience implementing and troubleshooting VPN solutions including IPSec, SSL VPN, and Site-to-Site VPN.• Strong network troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.• Ability to work effectively in enterprise-scale environments and migration programs.
Preferred Qualifications • Fortinet NSE 4, NSE 5, or NSE 7 certifications.• CCNP or CCNP Security certification.• Experience with Arista networking technologies.• Python scripting or network automation experience.• Previous involvement in large-scale network security transformation initiatives.
