Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a hands‑on Engineering Team Lead to oversee sustaining engineering efforts across complex mechanical systems. This individual will lead a team focused on resolving field and production issues, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the performance, reliability, and life cycle success of existing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of sustaining engineers and technical staff
• Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field and manufacturing issues
• Partner cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams
• Manage engineering change processes and product life cycle documentation
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting mechanical systems (combustion, refrigeration, etc.)
• Support cost reduction initiatives, supplier changes, and component obsolescence
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal policies
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across sustaining activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
• 5+ years experience in technical engineering / sustaining / product support roles
• Strong background working with complex electro‑mechanical systems in manufacturing environments
• Experience with combustion systems, chillers, or similar mechanical systems
• Proven ability in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and hands‑on problem solving
• Leadership experience or readiness to step into a team lead / people management role
• Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation systems
• Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering
• Background in HVAC, industrial equipment, or energy systems
• Experience with controls systems (PLC, embedded systems)
• Familiarity with standards such as UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI
