Key Responsibilities Long-haul driving across multiple regions, ensuring timely and safe deliveries of bulk liquid materials. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Safely load and unload tanker trucks, often requiring hoses, pumps, and adherence to all safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of trips, inspections, and any incidents to ensure compliance. Effectively communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and manage schedules. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials. Maintain consistent mileage and workload to support operational efficiency and maximize earnings. Qualifications Altom Transport maintains strict driver qualifications and a safety-first culture to ensure professional, compliant, and well-supported operations. Requirements and safety standards include: Valid CDL Class A License Tanker Endorsement (N) Required Hazmat Endorsement (H) Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available) TWIC Card Preferred (or must obtain after hire) Minimum 1 year of verifiable tanker driving experience At least 23 years of age Clean MVR and strong safety record Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check Dependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independently Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations if needed Rigorous onboarding and new hire safety training through the Safety Department Mandatory quarterly safety meetings throughout the fleet Strict Driver Vetting
