Truck Washer – Class A CDL Required

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Truck Washer to join our team. This position is responsible for washing, cleaning, and maintaining commercial trucks and trailers while assisting with basic shop and mechanical duties as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in quality work, follows safety procedures, and is motivated to learn and grow within the company.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $17.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus a half-day Saturday. Overtime opportunities available.

This position also participates in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month), shared among the team.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and clean commercial trucks and trailers to company quality standards.
  • Inspect vehicles during cleaning and report visible damage, defects, or maintenance concerns.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist with minor mechanical repairs and shop tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Operate pressure washers, cleaning equipment, tools, and other shop equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safety-focused work environment.
  • Participate in the rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week/month, shared among the team).
  • Work overtime when needed to meet operational and customer demands.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL is required.
  • Previous truck washing, detailing, fleet, or commercial vehicle experience is preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills is equally important.
  • Must own basic hand tools or be willing to purchase them.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
