Position Overview Point Foundation seeks a hands-on, systems-minded Controller to run the day-to-day operations of the finance department and build the infrastructure that will carry Point through its next stage of growth. This is a builder's role for a nonprofit accountant who enjoys both doing the work and improving how it gets done. The Controller will manage expenditures and reconciliations, partner with the CFO to close each month and prepare financial reports, and keep the organization audit-ready throughout the year. Working closely with the CFO and the Program team, they will make sure scholarship funds reach Point's scholars accurately and on time. They will also lead efforts to streamline financial processes and organization-wide data, including thoughtful use of automation and AI. The role offers real room to grow, with the opportunity to develop into broader financial leadership as Point scales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Expenditure Management – oversee accounts payable, scholarship and grant payments, AmEx and other credit card charges, and payroll entries, ensuring every disbursement is accurate, timely, and properly documented. Cash experience designing or rebuilding finance workflows; and experience in a small finance department where wearing many hats is the norm.
