Location: Gurugram | Work Mode: On-site | Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a People & Culture Associate to join our growing team and take ownership of core people processes across the employee lifecycle.

About the Role

We are looking for a People & Culture Associate to own and execute core people processes across the employee lifecycle. The role will work closely with the founder to build scalable people practices across hiring, onboarding, HR operations, performance management, employee documentation, and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of processes from the ground up, and balancing people-centric thinking with strong execution and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment process across leadership, associate, and internship roles.
  • Partner with the founder to understand hiring requirements, define role expectations, and plan workforce requirements.
  • Manage sourcing, screening, assessments, interviews, selection, offer management, and pre-joining coordination.
  • Develop customised screening questionnaires, assignments, interview scorecards, and evaluation frameworks for different roles.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and support hiring decisions while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, campus hiring, and other relevant channels.
  • Develop recruitment marketing initiatives to strengthen the company's employer presence and talent pipeline.

2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, from joining to exit.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR databases.
  • Manage joining formalities, employee verification, HR documentation, and other employee lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of HR processes.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement systems and workflows to improve HR efficiency.

4. People Policies & HR Governance

  • Implement, and maintain standardized HR policies and processes .
  • Draft and manage employment documentation including offer letters, employment agreements, appraisal letters, employee undertakings, and other HR documentation .
  • Establish structured HR workflows and governance mechanisms to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Ensure HR processes remain aligned with applicable employment and statutory requirements.

5. Statutory Compliance & Payroll Coordination

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and statutory registrations relating to PF, ESIC, LWF, and other applicable compliances .
  • Work closely with payroll and external compliance partners to ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance.
  • Maintain employee compliance documentation and support verification processes.
  • Identify and resolve compliance gaps across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure new employees complete all mandatory documentation and compliance formalities within defined timelines.

6. Performance Management

  • Develop and manage structured performance management processes across the organization.
  • Create and maintain KRAs, probation review frameworks, appraisal templates, and performance evaluation workflows.
  • Coordinate probation reviews and appraisal cycles with functional managers.
  • Support managers in establishing clear performance expectations and evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to employee performance and reviews.

7. Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Design and manage structured employee onboarding processes.
  • Develop induction plans, onboarding checklists, joining workflows, and Day One readiness processes.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure employees have the required access, documentation, equipment, and information before joining.
  • Continuously improve the employee experience across key touch points of the employee lifecycle.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Good understanding of HR operations and employee lifecycle management
  • Experience in developing HR policies, processes, and documentation
  • Familiarity with PF, ESIC, LWF, payroll, and statutory compliance
  • Strong process orientation with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to independently manage multiple HR initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proficiency with HRMS and productivity tools
  • Ability to build processes from scratch and improve existing systems
