Assembler

Pay Rate: $26 per hour <br /> Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 2nd shift (1:45pm-10:15pm)<br /> Location: US-Los Angeles Responsibilities: <ul><li> Assemble routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of mild to most complex product lines, including commercial parts for customers such as Boeing, Embraer, Gulfstream, Cessna, and Airbus. </li><li> Occasionally work on electrical assemblies and solder. </li><li> Ensure activities are performed correctly and proper tooling and documentation are used. </li><li> Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate tasks. </li><li> Proactively identify best practices. </li><li> Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, and dial indicators. </li><li> Interpret blueprints, verbal, and/or written instructions proficiently. </li><li> Perform cross-training when required. </li><li> Prepare materials, including lapping of surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds. </li><li> Perform visual inspections, identify any defective items, and handle them according to established procedures. </li><li> Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is in calibration before use. </li><li> Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. </li><li> May be temporarily reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary. </li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li> High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. </li><li> Minimum of two years of experience in assembly manufacturing. </li><li> Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA facility will be considered. </li><li> Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. </li><li> This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). </li><li> All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. </li></ul> Preferred Skills: <ul><li> Minimum of two years prior assembly experience in the Aerospace industry. </li><li> Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) certification. </li><li> Experience working in an FAA environment. </li></ul>
