The OpportunityWe are seeking a resourceful, hands-on Software Engineer to design, build, improve, and support the applications that power our Finance, Sales, and Operations teams. This is an end-to-end role: you will partner with business users, translate challenges into clear specifications, deliver solutions, and own their performance in production. You will have meaningful autonomy and see the impact of your work.
Our Approach: AI-Assisted DevelopmentWe use a specification-driven development process in which AI tools, including Claude, help generate code from well-defined requirements. Success requires more than prompting: you must understand the underlying technology, critically review AI-generated output, test thoroughly, resolve defects, and deliver secure, maintainable software. Accountability for the finished product stays with the developer.
What You Will Do·       Partner directly with stakeholders to understand workflows, clarify requirements, and write actionable technical specifications.·       Develop and enhance web and desktop business applications using AI-assisted workflows across front-end, back-end, and database layers.·       Review, validate, debug, and test AI-generated and manually written C#/.NET and JavaScript/React code.·       Design and maintain SQL Server schemas, queries, and scheduled jobs.·       Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications hosted on IIS web servers.·       Manage source code, work items, and releases using Azure DevOps.·       Apply sound security, documentation, and quality practices; research improvements to development tools and standards.
Required Qualifications·       At least two years of hands-on experience developing web, desktop, or mobile applications.·       Working knowledge of C#/.NET and JavaScript/React sufficient to critically review, troubleshoot, and improve code.·       Demonstrated ability to deliver functioning software through employment, freelance engagements, or independent projects.·       Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn business needs into clear specifications.·       Ability to collaborate directly with nontechnical colleagues, investigate problems, and take ownership through resolution.
Preferred Qualifications·       Experience with .NET Core and React in production applications.·       SQL Server development and administration; IIS configuration and application deployment.·       Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, and work-item management.·       Knowledge of application security fundamentals, including authentication, multifactor authentication, and access controls.·       Experience with AI-assisted or spec-driven development using Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or comparable tools.
Education & Work RequirementsA degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is helpful but not required; demonstrated software development experience is equally valued.
