Sales Manager at United Legacy - Del Mar, California

United Legacy · San Diego County, California, United States

FULL TIME

Job Description

About the Role United Legacy is more than a workplace — it's where driven professionals come to sharpen their craft, grow their influence, and make a real impact in the world of private investment. We're looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join our Private Client department, where you'll gain deep exposure to high-level investment strategies, client relationship management, and the inner workings of a fast-moving financial services firm. Maximise your chances of a successful application to this job by ensuring your CV and skills are a good match. In this role, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Director of Private Client, leading and mentoring a team of Investor Relations Associates while actively guiding prospective and existing clients through a sophisticated sales pipeline. You'll develop a nuanced understanding of client financial profiles, investment goals, and decision-making psychology — knowledge that will sharpen your instincts and elevate your career in financial sales. Beyond the pipeline, you'll collaborate with our Processing team to uncover reinvestment opportunities within our existing client base, giving you a comprehensive view of the full client lifecycle — from first conversation to long-term relationship. At United Legacy, we believe in building people as much as we build portfolios, and this role puts you at the center of both. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and support Investor Relations Associates in San Diego and Hawaii. Assist the team with client objections, follow-up strategies, and sales conversations. Speak with prospective clients to understand their financial situation, available liquidity, investment goals, and concerns. Gather and organize client information before transitioning qualified opportunities to an Advisor for closing. Follow up with prospective clients who have expressed interest but have not yet moved forward. Work with Processors to identify existing clients who may have additional funds available to invest. Re-engage existing clients and identify potential reinvestment opportunities. Monitor client opportunities and ensure consistent follow-up throughout the sales pipeline. Partner with the Director of Private Client to improve sales processes, team performance, and conversion efforts. Maintain accurate client notes and activity within company systems. Qualifications Experience in sales, sales management, client relations, investor relations, financial services, or a related field. Previous leadership, coaching, or team management experience preferred. Strong communication, relationship-building, and objection-handling skills. Comfortable discussing financial goals and gathering financial information from clients. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-up timelines. Ability to work collaboratively with sales, processing, and advisory teams. Experience using CRM or client management systems preferred. Compensation
