General Manager - Upper Unit (Footwear Manufacturing)

Factory Size: 3–4 production lines

Experience: 8–12 years in footwear manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our 3–4 line shoe upper manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will oversee production, quality, manpower, cost control, delivery, and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the shoe upper unit.

- Plan production and achieve daily and monthly targets.

- Lead cutting, stitching, skiving, closing, and finishing operations.

- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and efficiency.

- Control production costs, material wastage, and rejection rates.

- Manage manpower planning, training, discipline, and performance.

- Coordinate with design, sourcing, planning, quality, and dispatch teams.

- Drive continuous improvement and process optimization.

- Prepare regular MIS reports for management.

Requirements

- 8–12 years of experience in footwear or leather-goods manufacturing.

- Strong knowledge of shoe upper production and stitching operations.

- Proven experience managing a production team or complete manufacturing unit.

- Good understanding of production planning, quality control, and costing.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to work at the factory location in India.
