Senior SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Consultant

Emerald Resource Group is seeking an experienced SharePoint / Microsoft 365 Consultant for a long-term engagement with an established organization.

This role combines architecture, business consulting, and hands-on implementation. We’re looking for someone who has designed and built SharePoint environments and can help an organization turn business needs into a practical, well-organized platform.

What You’ll Do

• Meet with business stakeholders to understand workflows, collaboration needs, and information-sharing requirements.
• Translate requirements into a clear SharePoint architecture and implementation plan.
• Design and implement intranets, departmental sites, and hub-site structures.
• Establish standards for site organization, navigation, permissions, and governance.
• Work alongside internal technical staff to configure and implement the environment.
• Explain architectural decisions and help stakeholders understand the options and tradeoffs.
• Create documentation and transfer knowledge so the internal team can maintain and support the environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing SharePoint environments.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online and its role within Microsoft 365.
• Hands-on experience building intranets and connected departmental and hub sites.
• Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder consulting skills.
• Experience developing practical governance and permission structures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both business users and technical teams.
• Willingness to take ownership of the design while contributing directly to implementation.

Candidates should be able to walk through prior projects, explain the business requirements, and describe why they chose a particular architecture. Administration or development experience alone will not meet the needs of this engagement.

Engagement Details

• Contract engagement anticipated to last at least 12 months.
• Final scope and project milestones will be developed during planning.
