Senior Project Engineer Industrial Refrigeration Systems

As a Senior Project Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration Systems , you'll solve complex refrigeration challenges, lead projects through the full engineering lifecycle, and mentor a junior engineer. Direct CO2 liquefaction experience is not requiredengineers with strong industrial ammonia (NH3) refrigeration design experience are encouraged to apply and will receive training on the company's CO2 processes. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Project Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration Systems position include: Minimum 10 years of experience designing industrial refrigeration systems Strong mechanical engineering background, with industrial ammonia (NH3) refrigeration design experience highly preferred Direct CO2 liquefaction experience is welcome but not required; candidates with strong industrial NH3 refrigeration experience are encouraged to apply Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required Experience designing and sizing refrigeration compressors, piping, valves, receivers, pressure vessels, condensing units, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers Ability to prepare, review, and approve P&IDs and related engineering documentation Experience performing refrigeration calculations and process simulations; ChemCAD, ICES, or similar software experience is a plus Develop instrumentation requirements and control narratives Lead projects from concept and system design through fabrication, installation, startup, and commissioning Coordinate with drafting, fabrication, manufacturing, vendors, and project management teams Mentor and provide technical guidance to a junior engineer Support installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities Provide technical leadership while ensuring compliance with IIAR and ASME standards Salary: $140,000-$160,000+ per year, commensurate with experience. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Project Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration Systems position include:

Minimum 10 years of experience designing industrial refrigeration systems

Experience designing and sizing refrigeration compressors, piping, valves, receivers, pressure vessels, condensing units, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers

Experience performing refrigeration calculations and process simulations; ChemCAD, ICES, or similar software experience is a plus

Develop instrumentation requirements and control narratives

Lead projects from concept and system design through fabrication, installation, startup, and commissioning

Coordinate with drafting, fabrication, manufacturing, vendors, and project management teams

Mentor and provide technical guidance to a junior engineer

Support installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
