Job Description
Leads field construction activities for maintenance, repair, and capital projects within heavy industrial and continuous-process facilities. Job Requirements Experience managing construction projects in heavy industrial manufacturing or continuous-process facilities Experience leading capital improvement, maintenance, repair, equipment replacement, or plant expansion projects Experience managing general contractors and specialty subcontractors Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial construction safety requirements Experience coordinating construction within active operating facilities Experience reviewing engineering drawings, project specifications, construction schedules, and manpower plans Experience performing field inspections for safety, quality, and specification compliance Experience monitoring project budgets, schedules, productivity, and contractor performance Experience supporting commissioning, startup, punch-list completion, and project closeout Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience maintaining field reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, and construction documentation Preferred Skills Experience in power generation, oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, cement, pulp and paper, steel, or similar continuous-process industries Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects Experience with major plant shutdowns, outages, or turnaround projects Experience coordinating work permits, lockout/tagout requirements, and contractor safety programs Experience resolving field design conflicts and coordinating engineering clarifications Experience developing construction work packages and execution plans Experience with industrial mechanical, electrical, structural, piping, and equipment-installation scopes Experience tracking material deliveries, labor utilization, and construction productivity Experience managing construction activities through final acceptance and turnover Job Responsibilities Lead field construction activities for maintenance, repair, and capital improvement projects Manage projects ranging from equipment replacements to major plant expansions Enforce OSHA requirements, site safety standards, and contractor safety programs Coordinate daily construction activities with plant operations and maintenance teams Manage general contractors, specialty subcontractors, and field construction personnel Conduct construction coordination meetings, contractor planning sessions, and progress reviews Review contractor schedules, manpower plans, work sequencing, and material-delivery plans Monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, and field productivity Perform routine site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and safe work practices Identify construction risks, delays, and performance issues Develop and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives Resolve field installation issues and coordinate technical clarifications with engineering teams Coordinate construction sequencing to minimize production interruptions Verify materials and equipment are available before scheduled installation Review contractor progress, completed work, and supporting documentation Support equipment installation, system testing, commissioning, and startup activities Coordinate punch-list development, tracking, and completion Maintain field reports, meeting minutes, progress records, and project status updates Support final project turnover, closeout documentation, and contractor demobilization Pay Details: The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
