Decibel Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Project Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of the Decibel Payroll Project. The role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll project lifecycle, coordinating business and technical teams, ensuring payroll requirements are accurately delivered, and managing integrations, testing, compliance, and go-live activities.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in payroll operations, payroll systems implementation, HRIS, project management, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Decibel Payroll Project from planning through implementation and post-go-live support.
• Develop and maintain the overall project plan, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate payroll process design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Manage payroll-related integrations between HRIS, payroll, time & attendance, finance, banking, and other systems.
• Coordinate data migration, employee data validation, payroll configuration, and reconciliation activities.
• Lead SIT, UAT, parallel payroll runs, payroll validation, and production readiness.
• Ensure payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, benefits, taxes, leave, overtime, and other payroll components are correctly configured and validated.
• Coordinate with payroll, HR, Finance and implementation partners.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management.
• Ensure payroll-related regulatory, statutory, and compliance requirements are incorporated into the project.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, action trackers, requirements, test results, and implementation decisions.
• Ensure appropriate knowledge transfer and transition to payroll/HR operations teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll, HRIS, payroll transformation, or payroll implementation projects.
• Proven experience managing payroll implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes.
• Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and payroll integrations.
• Experience with Decibel Payroll or similar payroll platforms.
• Experience integrating payroll with HRIS, Finance/ERP, Time Management, Benefits, Banking, and third-party systems.
• Experience managing payroll projects across multiple countries or legal entities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
