Job Description – Solution Architect (SAP Integrated Toolchain)

Role Overview

The Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end architecture of the SAP Integrated Toolchain (ITC), ensuring alignment between business processes, enterprise architecture, and application lifecycle management. The role drives integration across SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX, SAP Cloud ALM, and ServiceNow to deliver process transparency, dependency mapping, and governance across SAP and non-SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities by Tool

• SAP Signavio
• Define process modeling standards using BPMN/BPML and govern process architecture.
• Lead business process mapping, migration, and governance using Signavio Process Manager.
• Drive process insights, KPI analysis, and process intelligence for continuous improvement.
• Ensure alignment of business processes with enterprise architecture and downstream systems.
• SAP LeanIX
• Establish enterprise architecture models including business capabilities, application portfolio, and factsheets.
• Define and maintain application portfolio management (APM) structures and lifecycle views.
• Map business processes to IT components, applications, and technology landscape.
• Identify dependencies across applications, interfaces, and business capabilities.
• SAP Cloud ALM
• Design and enable integration for requirements traceability, test management, and deployment governance.
• Establish business process monitoring, KPIs, and quality gates.
• Support lifecycle management including implementation, monitoring, and release governance.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from process to test and deployment artifacts.
• ServiceNow Integration
• Design integration with ServiceNow for CMDB alignment, incident, and change management.
• Enable bidirectional synchronization of IT components and application data.
• Align workflows and operational processes between ServiceNow and SAP toolchain.
• Support data validation, cleansing, and governance across systems.
• Cross-Tool Responsibilities
• Define overall solution and integration architecture across the ITC ecosystem.
• Identify integration points, dependencies, and data flows across tools and systems.
• Drive data migration, harmonization, and synchronization across platforms.
• Support project planning, roadmap, milestones, and governance for ITC program.
• Collaborate with business, EA, and IT teams to ensure adoption and alignment.

Required Skills & Expertise by Tool

• SAP Signavio: Process modeling (BPMN/BPML), process governance, process intelligence and KPI analysis.
• SAP LeanIX: Business capabilities, factsheets, APM, enterprise architecture modeling.
• SAP Cloud ALM: Lifecycle management, monitoring, traceability, test and release governance.
• ServiceNow: CMDB, ITSM processes, workflows, and API-based integrations.
• Integration & Architecture: API design, data synchronization, dependency mapping, enterprise architecture frameworks.

Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP / Enterprise Architecture / Solution Architecture experience.
• Proven experience in SAP Integrated Toolchain or similar transformation programs.
• Strong background in process transformation, APM, and ALM implementations.
