This Position reports to: Digital Solution Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your skills by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. The work model for the role is: LI – Onsite This role is contributing to the Automation – Energy division in-Bangalore-Peenya India region. You will be mainly accountable for: Executed MES application development, configuration, testing, and implementation activities for manufacturing projects in the Paint, Specialty Chemicals, Perfume, and Fertilizer industries, ensuring alignment with business and production requirements. Performed engineering surveys, data analysis, standard computations, and basic design activities to support MES project execution, system enhancements, and process optimization initiatives. Applied engineering judgment in executing assigned tasks, preparing technical documentation, and developing project deliverables in accordance with established standards, processes, and customer specifications. Assisted customers in resolving technical issues related to MES applications, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and system reliability. Supported project communication and coordination activities by participating in customer meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews, ensuring effective execution of assigned deliverables. Contributed to continuous improvement initiatives by participating in engineering workshops, enhancing knowledge of MES technologies, development tools, and standard engineering processes while supporting successful project delivery. Qualifications for the role: Experience of 2–4 years in MES application development, programming, and project execution within the Paint, Specialty Chemicals, Perfume, or Fertilizer manufacturing industries. B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, EEE, E&C, or related disciplines, with solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Good understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), industrial automation, and production processes, with experience supporting digitalization and manufacturing operations. Proficient in MES development and configuration, with hands-on experience in technologies and tools such as MES platforms, DCS, SQL, and .NET. Experience in analyzing customer requirements, developing technical solutions, performing testing activities, and supporting effective MES project implementations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers while supporting project execution across multiple manufacturing sites. Willingness to travel across Pan India (10–20%) to support project activities, customer interactions, system deployment, and commissioning requirements.
