Role Purpose

This role will serve as the Labware LIMS Solution Lead, responsible for driving solution design, configuration, and implementation of the Global LIMS solution across Viatris sites. The role will also lead the overall implementation, ensuring alignment with global standards, site requirements, and the program's delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements workshops by leveraging strong understanding of laboratory processes, business workflows, and Labware LIMS capabilities; drive requirement definition and sign-off. Develop solution designs aligned with approved requirements, global LIMS standards, architecture, and Viatris implementation principles. Lead and drive Labware LIMS solution implementation across Viatris sites, ensuring consistent adoption of the global solution and standards. Design, configure, and implement Labware LIMS modules, templates, specifications, characteristics, analysis and testing workflows, and associated laboratory processes and controls. Manage changes to LIMS database tables, fields, templates, scripts, and other system components through established change control processes. Independently develop, update, and review LIMS technical components, including subroutines/programs, query tags, user dialogs, visual workflows, Crystal Reports, menu routines, LIMS Basic code, and related configurations. Design and configure interfaces between LIMS and SAP, Empower, laboratory instruments, and other systems using direct and file-based integration approaches, including parsing scripts where required. Configure and implement Method Execution and Experiment Templates, including development of supporting macros where required. Troubleshoot Labware tracks and technical issues; apply vendor fixes and bug fixes, perform appropriate testing, and support-controlled deployment across environments. Own and resolve escalations related to LIMS functionality that cannot be addressed by site SMEs or the Run team. Provide technical leadership and hands-on support across new implementations, site rollouts, enhancements, upgrades, and other LIMS initiatives. Proactively identify opportunities to improve LIMS capabilities, processes, and user experience; work with relevant leads to evaluate, prioritize, and implement improvements. Provide technical support for instrument interfaces and application integrations with other laboratory and enterprise systems. Support laboratory teams during regulatory inspections and audits by providing technical explanations, system information, and supporting evidence as required. Work closely with Infrastructure teams to define and ensure appropriate hardware, infrastructure, and technical prerequisites for reliable LIMS operation. Ensure LIMS remains in a validated state throughout its lifecycle, with a strong understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV), Gx P requirements, and applicable quality processes; collaborate closely with CSV professionals and functional reviewers. Define and coordinate LIMS Master Data requirements and provide technical guidance and support to Master Data team members. Ensure appropriate user access, roles, privileges, and administrative rights are provisioned in accordance with established security and compliance requirements. Provide guidance, training, and hands-on support to Site SMEs to enable effective LIMS operation, implementation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer. Serve as a key technical member throughout the project lifecycle, providing hands-on expertise, technical decision-making, issue resolution, and implementation support.

Qualification and Experience

BE / B. Tech / ME/ M. Sc Min. 10 years of Experience in Labware LIMS build or implementation with validation knowledge as per GAMP Project management and lead experience to implement LIMS system on a global scale
