Role Description – CNC Machinist - Precision, High Tech 5-Axis (DAY and NIGHT Shifts available)Metalex’s expansion of our precision, high-tech, turning and milling area of expertise is creating opportunities for exceptional machinists who want to continue to hone their skills by working on the latest state-of-the-art equipment machining challenging complex parts made of exotic, high-temp alloys. We are actively looking for outstanding people to join our team in filling roles for both day and night shift positions. We work in a driven, high-paced environment where teamwork and communication are key components of our company’s culture. We have availability for Day and Night shifts. Night shift includes a 10% Pay Differential!Day Shift - 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - FridayNight Shift - 3:30 pm - 1:30 am
QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and Interpret Drawings and Part SpecificationsAbility to Comprehend and Follow Router that details what needs to be completed on each partCapable of Performing Machine Set UpsProficient in handling Measuring Instruments and Test EquipmentUnderstand Quality Requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality partsUnderstanding of Basic Shop Floor MathematicsUnderstanding of CNC ProgrammingBasic Computer SkillsAgree to follow Metalex Operator’s Acceptance ProgramMaintain 6S Standard Shop ChecklistObserve all Safety Requirements and be responsible for reporting any unsafe conditionsStrong Work Ethic/Willingness to work overtimeWillingness to assist in Cross Training of other Teammates by Teaching Skills they can learn from youWillingness to be Cross Trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketabilityCommitment to Continuous Improvement and taking initiative to lead in making enhancements
REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirementsDrug Test Required48 Hour workweeks with every other Saturday as Mandatory (Saturdays included in 48 hour workweek)
