Key account manager

The Key Account Manager – India is responsible for driving the sales of specialty products (base oils, insulating oils) produced or distributed by **** within the chemical and tyre and Lube markets. This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage customer relationships, ensure credit compliance, and contribute to the growth and operational efficiency of the India sales office.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Market Development

Achieve sales targets in terms of revenue and volume. Expand market share among existing and potential customers. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies. Develop and maintain a robust market inventory including prospects, volumes, and pricing levels.

Customer & Credit Management

Serve as the primary legal representative for *** India in customer dealings. Establish and monitor customer credit limits in coordination with central bookkeeping and Coface. Ensure outstanding credit per customer does not exceed the limits. Actively manage customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.

Operational & Financial Oversight

Collaborate with sales and administrative staff to maintain an efficient office organization. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses. Contribute to managing fixed cost budgets and maintaining quality systems (TQM). Support the team in maintaining a well-functioning sales office.

Leadership & Collaboration

Supervise and support the work of Sales Administrator, Sales Assistant. Act as a reference person for global applications upon request from Competence Transfer. Ensure alignment with company's vision and mission.
