b Overview /b p As Pipeline Civil Engineer at Stantec, you will support the Pipe Technology Group in delivering major water infrastructure across the UK and beyond. You’ll work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to design buried pipelines, assess asset life, and select materials, while advancing rehabilitation and trenchless solutions. You will contribute to proposals and technical reports, helping to shape sustainable, resilient networks. This role offers exposure to high-profile projects and opportunities to progress toward chartership, within a collaborative, innovative culture. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive salary /li li bonus schemes /li li enhanced pension plan /li li annual leave with buy/sell options /li li private medical insurance /li li life assurance /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects /li li Oversee material selection and structural design of buried pipelines /li li Lead thrust restraint design and trenchless technologies implementations /li li Apply advanced pipeline analysis tools and evaluate rehabilitation options /li li Lead condition and failure assessments to extend asset life /li li Contribute to project proposals and produce high-level technical reports /li li Support research initiatives with industry bodies (UKWIR, CIRIA) /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline /li li Chartered or Incorporated status or progressing toward ICE/CIWEM registration /li li Experience across pipeline disciplines: buried pipeline design, thrust restraint, trunk main design, pipe materials /li li Knowledge of pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless design, failure assessments, or CAESAR II /li li Strong proposal and report-writing skills and stakeholder liaison /li /ul ul li excellent communication /li li collaboration with multidisciplinary teams /li li analytical and creative problem-solving /li li structural design of buried pipelines (BS EN 1295-1:2019) /li li BS 9295:2020 /li li thrust restraint design (CIRIA C816/Report 128) /li /ul
