TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate RN Newborn Nursery for travel assignments . This role involves providing postnatal care to healthy newborns , monitoring vital signs, educating parents, and ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home. The ideal candidate has experience in neonatal assessments, breastfeeding support, and newborn safety protocols . Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for healthy newborns.
  • Conduct newborn assessments , including Apgar scoring, vital signs monitoring, and reflex checks.
  • Assist with early bonding and breastfeeding support .
  • Administer newborn medications, vaccinations, and screenings .
  • Educate and support parents on newborn care, feeding, and safe sleep practices .
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, lactation consultants, and postpartum nurses .
  • Recognize and escalate any signs of neonatal distress or complications .
  • Travel to various hospital newborn nurseries for temporary assignments .
Qualifications
  • Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Newborn Nursery, Postpartum, or NICU setting .
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in neonatal assessments, breastfeeding support, and family education .
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour shifts and respond to urgent situations .
  • Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
