Role Description The Home Textile Designer will work full time on-site in the Mohali district, collaborating with product development, merchandising, and production teams to create original designs for home textiles. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing design themes, developing patterns and motifs, selecting color palettes, and creating detailed design specifications for woven, printed, and embroidered textiles. The role involves preparing design boards, digital artwork, and tech packs; coordinating with sampling teams; and refining designs based on feedback, cost, and production constraints. The designer will research market trends, materials, and finishes, visit production areas to review samples and quality, and help maintain a design library and archives. The role also includes supporting collection planning, contributing to catalog and marketing visuals, and ensuring all designs align with brand standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in textile and surface design, including pattern development, color theory, and layout for home textiles.
• Proficiency with design and visualization tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CAD for textiles, or similar software.
• Knowledge of textile materials, weaving and printing processes, embroidery techniques, and basic production constraints.
• Ability to conduct trend research, interpret consumer insights, and translate ideas into commercially viable design concepts.
• Attention to detail in creating design specs, artwork files, repeats, and colorways suitable for manufacturing.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and merchandising teams on-site.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet production and launch timelines.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion & Textile, Fine Arts, or a related field; prior experience in home textiles is an advantage.
• Openness to learning, receiving feedback, and adapting designs within brand, cost, and quality requirements.
