Lead – HSE (Level- Manager/Senior Manager)
Location: Jigani, Bangalore
Reporting To: Director / Head – Operations
Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs across our operations. The role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements, and supporting operational teams in maintaining the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive safety professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience in implementing and managing HSE systems in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of HSE programs in line with company, client, and statutory requirements. Drive a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication, coaching, and training initiatives. Partner with operational leaders to ensure effective day-to-day HSE management across sites. Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are developed, implemented, and tracked. Deliver HSE training and capability-building programs for managers, supervisors, and frontline employees. Support teams in reporting, investigating, and analyzing incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning. Monitor, classify, investigate, and report workplace incidents and safety observations. Ensure effective deployment and maintenance of Business Continuity Planning processes. Maintain HSE documentation, records, and compliance reports. Stay updated on applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and ensure organizational compliance. Prepare and present HSE performance reports, dashboards, and key metrics. Support bids, tenders, and business development activities by providing HSE inputs and expertise. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to enhance safety performance and compliance standards.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline with a recognized safety qualification. Minimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment roles. Demonstrated experience in: Implementing HSE management systems, policies, and procedures. Driving behavioral and cultural safety transformation initiatives. Conducting HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Incident investigation and root cause analysis. Training, coaching, and developing operational teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement sustainable corrective actions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively with employees, management teams, and clients across different levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages will be an advantage.Why SODEXO:
