Music & Lyrics Expert – German Position: Music & Lyrics Expert – German Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $30–$58/hour Location: Remote About the Opportunity Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage experienced musicians, songwriters, lyricists, and music professionals to help evaluate and improve generative music AI systems. This role involves reviewing AI-generated lyrics and music content, assessing quality, creativity, originality, and linguistic accuracy across German and English content. Ideal Candidates Native or near-native German speaker with strong English comprehension. Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, music journalist, or related music professional. Strong understanding of the German music industry, genres, artists, and lyrical styles. Excellent attention to detail and ability to evaluate creative content objectively. Comfortable following detailed evaluation guidelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities and originality. Evaluate lyrics for quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and overall effectiveness. Assess whether lyrics sound natural, including regional expressions, slang, and cultural relevance. Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated music and lyric outputs. Contribute high-quality evaluations that help advance next-generation music AI systems. Preferred Qualifications Formal training in music performance, theory, composition, or songwriting. Published, credited, or professional songwriting experience. Broad familiarity with contemporary German music genres and artists. Project Details Start Date: Immediate Duration: Up to 6 months Commitment: Flexible; most contributors work around 20 hours per week Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous Compensation Competitive compensation of $30–$58/hour.
