Role Description This is a full-time, on-site civil litigation attorney role based in Garden City, NY. The attorney will handle a range of civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, and managing discovery, conducting depositions and jury trials. Daily responsibilities include taking and defending depositions, appearing in state and federal courts for conferences and hearings, and preparing cases for trial. The role involves close collaboration with partners and colleagues on case strategy, client communication, and settlement negotiations. The attorney will be expected to maintain organized case files, meet deadlines, and uphold the firm’s standards of professionalism and advocacy.QualificationsStrong foundation in Law, including civil litigation procedure and relevant New York and federal statutes and case law.Experience drafting and arguing Motions and pleadings, with excellent legal research and writing skills.Prior practice in Courts, including handling conferences, hearings, and motion arguments.Demonstrated capability in Trials and trial preparation, including witness examination and evidence presentation.Skill in conducting Depositions, including preparing witnesses and effectively examining parties and non-parties.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.4-6 years of civil litigation experience preferred, particularly in complex or high-stakes matters.Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with strong verbal and written communication skills.Capacity to work collaboratively in a team of trial lawyers while independently managing a caseload. xzbcwsv Commitment to ethical practice, client service, and maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
