I'm partnered with one of the oldest and most established General Contractors in the Chicago area that's looking to add a Senior Estimator to its growing preconstruction team.With approximately $200M in annual revenue, this GC has built an incredible reputation in the Chicago market, with a portfolio primarily focused on commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, and other commercial construction projects.
One of the biggest selling points here is the stability of their work. With nearly 100% repeat business, long-standing client relationships, and an impressive backlog of secured projects, this company offers the consistency of an established GC while continuing to experience significant growth.
They're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator who can take ownership of estimates, work closely with clients and project teams, and play an important role in the company's continued expansion.
What You'll Be Doing:Lead estimating efforts for commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, and other commercial projectsPrepare detailed conceptual budgets, estimates, and competitive bidsPerform quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and subcontractor bid levelingWork closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal project teamsIdentify value engineering opportunities and provide cost-saving recommendationsDevelop and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationshipsParticipate in preconstruction meetings and assist with project planningCollaborate with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating into construction
What They're Looking For:Senior Estimator or experienced Estimator background with a General ContractorStrong commercial interiors, tenant improvement, or renovation experience preferredExperience preparing conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, and competitive bidsStrong knowledge of subcontractor scopes, construction costs, and market pricingAbility to independently manage estimates from initial budgeting through final submissionStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and internal teamsSomeone looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a growing Chicago GC
