Network Engineer L2 – Key Points

• Experience: 4–7 years
• Level: L2 Network Operations
• Shift: Global 24x7 support
• Cisco: Routing & Switching, Catalyst, Nexus
• Networking: LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN
• Protocols: VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, NAT, QoS
• Wireless: Cisco WLC, Access Points, Meraki
• Branch: Cradlepoint
• Network Services: Infoblox (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
• Security: Cisco ISE, TACACS+, RADIUS, VPN
• Load Balancing: F5 LTM
• Monitoring: SolarWinds, NetBrain, LogicMonitor, SNMP/Syslog
• Automation: Basic Python / Ansible
• Operations: Incident, Service Request, Change Management & SLA
• Key focus: L2 troubleshooting, monitoring, incident resolution and escalation to L3
• Certification: CCNA required; CCNP/Meraki/F5 is an advantage

Mandatory skills:

Cisco + Routing/Switching + Meraki + Cisco Wireless + Infoblox + F5 LTM + Cisco ISE + OSPF/BGP.
