Work Model: Hybrid, currently ~3 days/week in office

Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST; additional US overlap may occasionally be required during knowledge-transfer periods

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS Integration Developer to design, build, migrate, and support enterprise integrations using AWS serverless and integration services.

This is not an AWS Dev Ops role and not a general-purpose cloud developer position. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience building integrations from scratch between enterprise applications, APIs, third-party systems, and cloud services.

The team is modernizing an existing enterprise integration landscape currently running on IBM Data Power and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and migrating integrations to AWS. Strong AWS integration experience is mandatory; prior IBM Data Power/ACE experience is useful but not required.

The role is part of a global enterprise team and requires strong communication because the engineer will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams across India, the US, and UK.

What You'll Do

Design and develop cloud-native enterprise integrations using: AWS API Gateway AWS Lambda Python Amazon Event Bridge AWS Step Functions other AWS serverless services Build REST APIs and event-driven integration workflows. Develop asynchronous messaging and enterprise application integration patterns. Build integrations connecting AWS with internal systems and third-party applications. Design secure, scalable, resilient integration architectures. Build and deploy AWS Lambda functions using production-grade Python. Develop reusable API and integration components. Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using: Terraform AWS Cloud Formation Automate deployment through CI/CD pipelines, including Git Hub-based pipelines. Implement secure connectivity using technologies and protocols including: REST SOAP SFTP MQ Implement API security controls including: m TLS OAuth / JWT rate limiting schema validation WAF controls Troubleshoot production integration issues using logs, traces, Cloud Watch metrics, and application monitoring. Support migration of integrations from IBM Data Power / IBM ACE to AWS. Refactor and modernize legacy middleware integrations into cloud-native AWS architectures. Maintain integration platforms through upgrades, monitoring, patching, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.

The client specifically called API Gateway, Lambda/Python, Event Bridge, Step Functions, REST APIs, CI/CD and Terraform/Cloud Formation core requirements.
