Role Description The Head of Legal Department is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing all legal matters across Oraiyan Groups’ real estate activities. The role includes leading the legal team, managing legal risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant real estate, corporate, and regulatory laws. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing and drafting agreements and contracts, vetting property documents, providing legal opinions, and resolving legal issues related to land, titles, and customer transactions. The Head of Legal Department will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel, support business negotiations, and establish legal policies and procedures. The role also involves monitoring changes in laws, training staff on legal compliance, and supporting dispute resolution and litigation management when required.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with expertise in Legal Compliance related to real estate and corporate regulations.
• Proficiency in Legal Consulting, including providing clear legal guidance to management and operational teams.
• Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and property documents.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and resolve Legal Issues, particularly those related to land, titles, and regulatory approvals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) required; LL.M or specialization in real estate or corporate law is an advantage.
• Several years of progressive experience in legal roles, preferably within real estate or property development organizations.
• Proven leadership skills, including managing legal teams and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and handle multiple matters in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
